This story of the automotive industry shows how multinational corporations can sometimes be global villains. When auto engineer Ralph Korda (Prochnow) invents a car that runs without gasoline he gets stuck between the interests of several business cartels desperate to protect their traditional markets.

Korda is the inventor of the The WorldCar, an environmentally correct automobile made for multinational auto manufacturer The Berlin Auto Group. The resulting publicity makes him the target of just about everyone! From Arab Sheiks to women of dubious allegiance, competing factions are out to stop The WorldCar’s debut.

The film’s concept, that someone could invent an environmentally friendly car then have its manufacture squelched by corporate muscle, may be closer to the truth than we would like to admit …
